Pocket Burger Shack

Tried it for the first time after living in HB for many years. I got a bacon wrapped hot dog. The hot dog was great but the bacon was undercooked, much of it flaccid and inedible. I tried a tri-tip burrito with easy rice because I read they stuff too much rice in the burritos. I heard the pocket sauce was sweet which I don't like so I said easy on the sauce but I still thought it was way too sweet. If it wasn't for the sauce it was a good burrito, Tender meat, lots of cheese, just the right amount of rice and good spices. They have hot sauce which helped. Next time I'll just get that. The staff were really nice. I want to try a chorizo breakfast burrito, that sounds really good. I'll pass on the pocket sauce. less

A pocket full of sunshine in Huntington Beach. Pocket Burger is a hidden gem! This small, hole-in-the-wall spot serves up some of the best burgers and fries in the city. I recently stopped by after a nearby paddle boarding adventure and was absolutely ravenous. I ordered their salmon burger, which tasted fresh, juicy, with the perfect amount of toppings. I also ordered a side of their crispy, perfectly-fried, fries. These were honestly the best fries I've had in years. This business sits on PCH, just steps away from the ocean. There's a small number of patio seats available, but it's well worth it to take your meal to go and enjoy it on the sand. The only downside is the parking, which can be a bit tricky, but the meal is well worth the effort. less

So delicious! Pocket Burger is a tiny little hole in the wall with delicious burgers and super nice staff. I got the aloha burger and it was massive! The combo of the grilled pineapple and the savory patty was delicious. And their fries are amazingly crispy. My brother got a breakfast burrito and it probably weighed at least a pound. It's the perfect meal to bring out to the beach (just a couple blocks behind the shop)! less

I was bike riding around the area and decided to stop here for lunch. There's a few bike racks outside and picnic tables where you can eat. I ordered the Aloha burger, the grilled pineapple sold me yummmmm. And garlic fries on the side- literally SO GOOD. there were two women working. One at the counter and the other cooking. These burgers are juicy and delicious, loaded with fresh vegetables. The fries were also perfect. It was pretty busy around 2pm on a Thursday. I will be coming back for sure !!! less

They have the best taste burger. Fresh.juicy,not too salty,homemade and friendly. My mom and my son are all love it. French fries are delicious too. less

I have dined here 2 times previously, 2021, 2022, and today. I thought already reviewed this spot, but it isn't showing. Anyway, my review would have been the same(5 stars). The burgers are amazingly delicious and so hearty. The owner(I am guessing) is the grey haired gentleman, and is so friendly and passionate about his restaurant. He strives for excellence in his service and quality of food. I was with 7 others and everyone loved their burgers. I was so hungry that I didn't take a picture of my food. You must try Pocket Burger! less

I finally stopped by Pocket Burger Shack to try their breakfast and lunch - boy, I was disappointed in myself that I hadn't tried them sooner; the food is so delicious and fresh, with even a little bit of a spicy kick to it, too! The first time I tried Pocket Burger Shack was with my best friend. We were lured in to Pocket Shack as we drove by PCH and saw their breakfast burritos sign - we knew it was a sign and that we just had to stop and try their breakfast burritos! We both ordered a breakfast burrito and also split the chilaquiles to try them together. The service was very fast - our order was ready within 10 minutes and the owner, Daniel filled us in on his journey with Pocket Burger Shack! I absolutely loved the spices in the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles, I couldn't wait to come back for lunch! Daniel told us that his manager makes the salsa Verde from scratch - what a gem of a find in Sunset! I absolutely love everything about this beach shack - from the friendly service, to the fresh food, and of course I love that it's a short walk to actually enjoy your meal on the sand. So after my breakfast adventure here, I had to come back and order lunch to go for my mom and I. Just as before, the experience was so friendly and seamless. I loved walking into pocket shack to pick up my order, with a nice breeze from the sand and tables full of happy customers. This time we ordered the pocket burger, grilled chicken salad and the kids chicken tender meal. I tried their regular fries and garlic fries - both were hot, crispy, fresh and the garlic was freshly grated and there was plenty of it on my garlic fries! The pocket burger was amazingly seasoned, while the chicken salad was HUGE with fresh chopped crispy veggies and the chicken tenders were fresh and crispy. I've loved all my food adventures at Pocket Burger Shack and I'm looking forward to my next meal here. So far my favorites are their: Pocket Burger, garlic fries, chilaquiles, breakfast burrito and chicken tenders.
